Their sideAdjusters, lawyers, the clockYour sideThe weight we addThe scene
We order the crash report, photograph the scene and ask nearby businesses to keep their camera footage before it is deleted.
Your treatment
We help you get care, track every bill and record, and deal with health insurance liens, so you are not chasing paperwork while you heal.
The proof
We find and talk to witnesses. In bigger cases we bring in crash reconstruction and medical experts who can explain your injuries to a jury.
The demand
We send a demand backed by everything above. If the insurer will not pay what is fair, we file suit and take it to a jury.
That's the counterweight. Every step adds proof to your side until the insurer has to pay what is fair.

Before you talk to an insurer
Tap a card. These are the four lines injured people hear most in the first week.
Fees
How a contingency fee works, in plain words. People tell us this is the thing they could not find on other firms' sites.

to start
The case review is free, and so is everything we do before we win.
$0
for costs along the way
We pay for records, experts and filing fees while the case runs.
33.3%
only if we win
Our fee if your case settles before a lawsuit. 40% if we file suit. If we recover nothing, you owe us nothing.

They called me back in ten minutes on a Sunday night. Renata explained everything in plain English and never once made me feel rushed.
The trucking company had lawyers at the scene before I was out of the hospital. Wes was the first person who told me what they were doing and why.
Inés handled my case in Spanish with me and in English with the store. I never had to chase anyone for an update.
Everyone assumed the rider was at fault. They proved the other driver turned on a red arrow. I would not have known where to start.
Rideshare insurance is a maze. They found the right policy and dealt with all of it while I healed.
The insurance company offered me a number that did not cover my first month of physical therapy. Counterweight got me more than twenty times that.

Honest from the first call. They told me what my case might be worth and what could go wrong. That is why I hired them.
I texted at 6 in the morning and had an answer before 6:15. That set the tone for the whole case.
They sent someone to photograph the road the same week. Months later those photos were the reason the case settled.
I was embarrassed about falling and almost did not call. They treated it seriously from day one.
No fee unless we win sounded too good to be true. It was exactly how it worked, and they explained the fee before I signed anything.
Wes actually rides. He understood the crash better than the police report did.

FAQ
Straight answers. If yours is not here, call or text us any time.
A lawyer or a member of our intake team listens to what happened, asks a few questions and tells you plainly whether we think you have a case. It costs nothing, and you are under no obligation.
Nothing up front. We work on contingency: our fee is a share of what we recover for you, 33.3% if your case settles before we file a lawsuit and 40% if we file. If we recover nothing, you owe us no fee and no costs.
In most personal injury cases, two years from the date of the injury (Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code 16.003). A claim against a city, a county or the state needs written notice much sooner, generally within six months (101.101), and some city charters set their own rules. Call early.
You may still recover. Texas reduces what you receive by your share of the fault, and you can recover as long as you are not more than 50% responsible (Civil Practice and Remedies Code 33.001).
You can report the crash, but you do not have to give the other side's insurer a recorded statement. Let us handle that conversation.
Most injury cases settle. We prepare every case as if it will go to trial, because that is what moves an insurer to a fair number.
It depends on your treatment and on how hard the insurer fights. Simple cases can settle in months; cases that go to trial can take a year or more. You get a realistic timeline after the review.
No honest lawyer can tell you on the first call. Value depends on your injuries, your medical bills, lost income, the insurance available and who was at fault. After the review we tell you what we see and what we still need to find out.
